The issue 3 cover has been revealed with a crowdfunder announced to raise £5000 to get ComicScene UK into stores such as WH Smith by the end of the year. You can pledge to the crowdfunder at http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/comicsceneuk . Many of you asked if we could get a magazine about comics back in the newsagents and with your help we can make it happen. Pledge whatever you can from a fiver upwards.
The issue 3 cover is an exclusive piece of art by Charlie Gillespie featuring Charley’s War, for our war comics special. The magazine also features the return of Roy of the Rovers, has exclusive photographs of Stan Lee’s last U.K. convention and some unseen artwork from Carlos Ezquerra. You can pre order the issue now via the website at http://www.comicscene.tictail.com
Charlie also has started work on Issue 4 cover – our magic and horror Issue! Issue 4 & 5 can also be pre-ordered on the ComicScene UK shop website along with 6 and 12 month subscription offers. Although comic shops can already pre-order all forthcoming issues in 2018 the first issue to appear in Previews UK will be the December/January Issue 5 featuring 80 years of Superman, 40 years of Superman The Movie, 40 years of Starlord, 40 years of Star Wars Weekly, Starblazer and the star comics of 2018 and coming up in 2019! Along with the magazine we have been dipping our toes into media sponsoring Comic Cons and comic events including Coventry and The Lakes Comic Art Festival.
And finally on our shop website you can pre order the first of our 300 page ComicScene UK ‘event’ comic books, saving £5. Along with a subscription to ComicScene U.K. it will be the perfect Christmas Gift, available early December. More details to follow, but be ‘vigilant’ (you will see what we did there!) and keep your eye on our news and review website http://www.comicsflix.org for more information that will ‘transform’ comics as we know it (yeah, you’ll see what we did there too!)
