ComicScene need your help to launch a new comic for kids and create a new outlet for comic creators work. You can help for as little as £1.50 throughout July and August!
This time last year you helped a small, independent publisher working from a kitchen table with a crazy idea get their first magazine ‘ComicScene’ into newsagents.
It’s been hard work with many pleasant surprises and huge bumps along the way but selling through newsagents as well as subscriptions and comic shops ensured we are still here and working on your 12th Issue!
If you don’t buy the magazine now is your opportunity to invest from as little as £2.50 a month to help ComicScene continue to promote and create new comics.
From Issue 5, alongside your regular articles, there are six new comic strips. We think you might like them!
The investment in the magazine, from people like you who love comics, will lead to more comic strips beyond the summer trial periods. This will include a new 16 page pull out comic for 8-12 year olds. We know many ‘adults’ buy the magazine – some of them parents, grandparents and even great grandparents who can pass on the pull out comic and encourage reading comics to their kids, grandkids and a few great grandchildren might like it too!
Help us support current and new comic creators with a much needed new outlet for their work and help us spread the word about comics to libraries across the U.K and Ireland. This will help, in our own small way, help encourage the next generation of comic readers and creators (read more at http://teenlibrarian.co.uk/2019/06/22/comic-scene/ ).
So for as little as a coffee in Starbucks you can make a BIG difference. From July you can even get back issues for as little as £1.50 in digital and £3 in print.
We’ve made it as easy as we can to invest, by buying the magazine at a cost that suits your budget.
We have made getting your copy of the magazine as accessible as we can.
Anywhere in the world you can subscribe digitally or in print at http://www.getmycomics.com/ComicScene, pick up a copy of the magazine at WHSmith, McColls, Easons or Comic Shops, or order at any newsagent or comic shop.
So this summer please help us ‘kickstart’ the next comic revolution (still from our kitchen table!) and buy a copy of ComicScene Summer Special Issue 5. It’s a great jumping on point to the magazine and people seem to love it – we hope you will too! Thanks for your continued help and support.
