Issue 11 is out early in digital with the ComicScene Review of 2019, our ComicScene Award Winners and 8 comic strips.
It’s also the start of our new ComicScene 80 day comic challenge – and you can help a comic charity as well!
When we launched in 2018 ComicScene didn’t use a kickstarter or Crowdfunder. We just asked for pre orders 80 days before publication and a number of you took a leap of faith and subscribed for 6 or 12 months. Thanks to you we are still here and on the newsstands of the U.K., Ireland, Australia, Canada and the USA promoting and sharing the work of comic creators.
Of course like any independent magazine, with no major financial backer or publishing house, we need to raise funds from time to time.
With that in mind we have set a challenge to see if there are 25,000 comic fans out there, worldwide, willing to do one thing! Download in digital the 80 page Issue 11 for only £2.99 ($3.95) to support the magazine for 2020 or any of our back issues.
Literally the price of a takeaway coffee.
Better still with every 1000 downloads of Issue 11 we are going to give £500 to the Little Heroes Charity. This is a charity that provides comic making kits to children in hospitals and other healthcare organisations throughout the U.K. If you purchase any other item from the ComicScene online store or any ComicScene back issue during the next 80 days we will donate an additional 50p per item to the charity. See all the back issues here https://comicsflix.org/2020/01/07/comicscene-digital-issues-for-3-each-or-5-with-issue-11/
Can you help spread the word Around the World in 80 days? As we announce the winners of our first ComicScene Awards and look back at 2019 we ask is it possible there are still 25,000 comic fans out there in a world of 7.7 billion people?
That’s the challenge – download your copy now at http://www.getmycomics.com/ComicScene and please help spread the word!
